Helen is a glass and mixed media artist born in Ohio, currently living in Corning NY. She first discovered glass as a freshman at Bowling Green State University and was instantly enamoured. She later earned a Masters Degree in Art from Southern Illinois University and went on to teach across the United States in places like the Harrisburg Area Community College, Tyler School of Art, The Goggleworks Center for the Arts and The University of Louisville. Helen finds inspiration for her creative practice in the transitional properties of plants and the potential they hold for great change. From growth lines and branching to surface textures and patterns, she feels there are infinite design possibilities.

In a desire to travel and share her love of glass around the world, Helen joined the CMOG Glass at Sea program in 2011 and has worked for Corning ever since as a team leader and demonstrator. Helens love of travel has brought her to over 60 countries, and she is very honoured to add India and her residency with Studio Glass Sutra to the list of communities to share her passion.
